Desiree and I spent the day in the Cascades on Sunday.. We made the easy drive up Snoqualime Pass to the Hyak Ski area.. The snow was great; 10 inches of new snow on Saturday.. The conditions were perfect..
We treked up to the top of the ski area and walked around Hyak Lake.. I had this brilliant idea to walk across the frozen lake.. But Desiree helped change my mind..
The nordic area of Hyak is great.. The backside of Mt. Catherine is huge.. When the snow conditions are right, it looks like you could go anywhere you'd like..
